A leading vendor of 5G / 4G broadband wireless products and solutions is looking for Director of HW Engineering .Rresponsible for leading company’s HW group, developing the Electronics, FPGA and mechanical solutions for company’s products.
This position will involve working with the leadership on resource and project planning, execution and optimization of product development to bring forth leading-edge technologies and features to our product portfolio. Responsibilities :
Lead, build, motivate, develop and manage high performing engineering teams to build leading-edge innovative products.
Partner with cross-functional leaders across the organization to identify and solve operational and execution issues. As a holder of a high profile position, you will be exposed and take part of company strategy, while interfacing high-level global management.
Act as a center of knowledge for our cross global HW development teams.
Continuously improve formal engineering development processes, procedures, and metrics to meet business unit objectives.
Ensure the team’s priorities are in support of the product road map.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic and technical goals.
Accountable for on-time product releases.
Provide deep technical expertise to the organization.
As the manager of Company’s HW group and member of RnD management staff, you will be required to manage three teams of Board Design, FPGA, mechanics.
It is expected that the HW director will hold broad understanding of market needs and trends, and knowledge of new technologies and solutions for the cellular market.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred.
7+ years of experience leading multidiscipline engineering teams.
Deep knowhow in Board design, FPGA, Multi-core Network processors, mechanical design, HW verification, antennas.
Experience leading 3rd party global development teams.
Experience in areas of 3G / LTE / 5G / WiMAX / Wireless Advantage
